Description
The Etna Tour allows you to visit some of the most evocative places of the volcano starting from your accommodation in Taormina (or surrounding areas) which is about 1 hour away. The excursion takes place using 4×4 vehicles to travel between the scheduled stages. You will visit the Etna park and some of the most scenically interesting places of this wonderful volcano, including the secondary buttonhole craters that you will reach with an easy trek, the most recent lava flows and, weather conditions permitting, a visit to the he immense Valle del Bove.You will also explore a lava flow cave equipped with a speleologist’s helmet and lights. If you are a trekking enthusiast, you can request an itinerary mainly on foot to discover the less touristy places on the volcano.
The package includes a typical lunch at a farmhouse where you will taste a selection of typical products accompanied by good Etna wine. If you are a lover of this drink it is possible to integrate a wine tasting experience with 4 Etna wines. After the gastronomic stop, it is possible to integrate the excursion with a visit to the magnificent natural site of the Alcantara Gorges, a canyon of volcanic origin that developed thousands of years ago. This visit extends the excursion by approximately 1.30 hours.

Pick up from your hotel
This excursion is the only one among our proposals that includes pick-up directly from your hotel in Taormina or nearby tourist areas. The transfer will take place with 4x4 vehicles or only if you choose a trekking itinerary with other more comfortable vehicles.

Excursion on Etna to the most suggestive points
Our 4x4 itinerary divided into stages allows you to visit the most famous and unmissable places of the volcano in the morning: the lateral craters, the ancient and recent lava flows, a volcanic cave with lights and speleo helmet, the suggestive Valle del Bove.

Typical lunch
At lunch time, the tour will move to a farm on our volcano selected by us where there will be a visit to the vineyard and a tasting of Sicilian products accompanied by the wine produced in the vineyard. Upon request you can also integrate a wine experience of 4 Etna and Sicilian wines.

On this tour, if you want to make the experience even more complete, you can add a visit to the Alcantara Gorges, before returning to Taormina in the afternoon.
